Randy Wingerton, leftist activists and the second largest teachers union president in the United States, leaving the Democratic National Committee (DNC), who cite disagreement with leadership and disappointment on the committee’s instructions.
Wingerton, who is the head of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and has been an influential member of DNC for 23 years, wrote a letter to DNC chairman Kane Martin, indicating that he is on obstacles with the leadership of the committee, Politician First reported.
“When I feel proud to be a democrat, I appear out of the step with the leadership you are forging, and I don’t want to be what we ask the question of why we are increasing our tent and actively trying to attach our communities more and more,” he wrote in a letter of June 5.
He said, “As usual, AFT Pro-Public Education will be a pioneer in choosing candidates of Pro-Working Family and will be specially engaged in 2025-26 elections.”
Weingarten recently defended former DNC president David Hog, Which was excluded from the committee last week. Vote came in May as hog, a gun control worker and Marjori Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting Survivor, Informed Primary candidates are planning to spend millions of funding against “ineffective members of Congress”.
“Randy has applauded the members when he told him,” Randy has been very disappointed as a proud dame, “he told The outlet.
Weingarten eventually rejected the committee’s proposal to re -appoint him as a major member of DNC. Weingarten had been sitting in DNC rules and bylaws committee since 2009 and was a representative for Democratic Conferences since 1992.
DNC did not reply Politician Request for comment until the time of publication.
