After the holiday, soybean is trading with an increase of 3 to 4 cents on Friday. CmdtyView’s national average cash bean price is up 3 3/4 cents to $10.62 3/4. Soymeal futures are down $2.50 to $2.70, as soy oil futures are 83 to 97 points higher. For the first notice day, 199 deliveries were issued for December soybean meal, including 447 deliveries for bean oil.
The USDA this morning reported private export sales of 312,000 metric tons of soybeans to China.

USDA export sales data for the week ending October 16 was released this morning, with 1.1 MMT of soybeans sold that week. This was in the middle with trader views looking for between 0.6 and 2 MMT. That was the first week to breach 1 MMT this marketing year, up 41.2% from the previous week, yet down 56.9% from last year. Till that time China had not yet made purchases.
Sales of soybean meal reached 543,119 metric tons, an improvement from the previous week. Bean oil sales for 2025/26 in the week of 10/16 were 19,133 metric tons.
The report for the week ending October 23 will be released on Monday morning, with analysts estimating 0.6 to 1.6 MMT of beans to be sold, bean meal at 50,000-500,000 MT and bean oil at 5,000 to 25,000 MT.
Agroconsult estimates the 2025/26 Brazilian soybean crop at 178.1 MMT, 6 MMT more than last year’s total crop.
