Soybean prices were up 3 to 4 cents Friday morning. Futures bounced off early session lows on Thursday and closed with a decline of ¼ to 1 ½ cents in the old crop contracts and a gain of 1 ¾ to 3 cents in the new crop contracts. Open interest increased to 11,395 contracts on Thursday. CmdtyView’s national average cash bean price was down 2 1/4 cents at $11.23 1/4. Soymeal futures were down one penny at $5.70, with soy oil futures up 42 to 105 points. 367 soybean delivery notices were given overnight, another 712 notices were issued for May soybean oil and still none for bean meal.
USDA’s weekly export sales report showed 2025/26 turnover at 258,066 metric tons. This was the second lowest for the marketing year and down 30.47% from the same week last year. China was the top buyer at 199,200 MT, of which 192,000 MT was unaccounted for. A total of 112,100 metric tons were sold to Egypt, with Indonesia buying 70,800 metric tons. Sales of the new crop were only 2,980 MT, while the estimate was 0-50,000 MT.

Soybean meal sales reached 295,180 metric tons, which was between the expected range of 150,000 to 400,000 metric tons. Bean oil bookings stood at 3,446 MT, amid expected net cancellations of 10,000 MT and sales of 12,000 MT.
Soybean oil used for biodiesel was 1.058 million pounds in February, EIA data showed. This was a 7-month high for bean oil use and 44.34% of the total feedstock in biodiesel/renewable biodiesel.
