Soybeans closed Friday’s session partially up at 16 ¾ cents with delayed contracts. The September week closed up 55 ½ cents, while November was up 43 cents. CmdtyView’s national average cash bean price was up 13 3/4 cents to $11.45 3/4. Soymeal futures were $2.80 to $3.80 higher on most contracts, as September rose to $14.90 this week. Soy oil futures were up 11 to 54 points, having hit 369 points higher in the September week.
The USDA this morning reported another private export sale of 264,000 metric tons of 2026/27 soybeans to China through the daily flash sales system.

The NOAA 7-day QPF over the weekend shows 1 to 3 inches expected in a band from MO through the southern portion of IL/IN/OH for next week. The west remains dry across much of the Northeast, Dakotas, MN and IA.
Today’s WASDE data shows that for a 10 MBU increase in exports, 2025/26 US soybean stocks fell by 10 MBU to 330 MBU. New crop stocks were steady at 310 MBU, as exports increased by 30 MBU to offset a 40 MBU increase in production due to more acres.
Globally, South America’s production for 2025/26 was left alone. New crop world carryover decreased by 0.71 MMT to 124.17 MMT as there was a 0.19 MMT smaller carryover from 2025/26, with Brazilian exports increasing by 0.5 MMT.
Traders’ commitment data from Friday afternoon shows that typical traders added 37,479 contracts back to their net long positions in soybean futures and options in the week ended July 7. This came through a mix of new long interest and short covering, with a net long position at 68,679 contracts.
