SpaceX is preparing to launch its 125th Falcon 9 rocket of 2025, which will take a batch of Starlink V2 mini satellites into low Earth orbit. The company’s first mission of the month will fly from Wandenberg Space Force Base on Friday morning.
Space launch is scheduled for Liftoff 6:21 AM PDT (9:21 AM EDT / 1321 UTC) from Complex 4 East (SLC-4E). This will be the 47th launch of SpaceX from Wandenberg so far this year.
Spaceflight will now start live coverage about 30 minutes before the liveoff.

SpaceX will launch this mission using Falcon 9 booster with number B1097. This will be its second launch after Starlink 17-8 on 3 September.
Eight minutes after the liftoff, B1097 will target an autonomous landing on a drone ship, Of course i still love youIf successful, it will be the 155th touchdown for this vessel and 514th booster landing for SpaceX to date.
28 Starlink satellites have to be deployed a little more than an hour after the liftoff from the upper platform of the rocket.
mind the Gap
This is the first time SpaceX began launching Falcon 9 rockets in 2010 that the cape would fly three Falcon 9 rockets from the uninterrupted Wendenberg by a mission from the Canveral Space Force Station or NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
This can be very well caused by tropical activity, such as Hurricane Hamberto and Hurricane Emkeda, who created a dangerous position in the Launch sites of SpaceX in the Atlantic Ocean and for several days. On Thursday afternoon, the National Hurricane Center was currently monitoring two disturbances, with a forecast to move diagonally to the Florida Peninsula over the next few days.
There were some handful of launch from Wandenberg for one reason or another for another. Before now, they include the following (UTC launch time -based dates):
- Starlink 17-9 (September 6, 2025) -SDA T1TL-B (September 10, 2025)
- Starlink 11-11 (April 7, 2025) -Nrol-192 (12 April, 2025)
- Starlink 11-8 (January 21, 2025) -S Starlink 11-6 (24 January, 2025)
- Starlink 9-17 (September 20, 2024)-Starlink 9-8 (September 25, 2025)
- Starlink 8-8 (June 8, 2024) -S Starlink 9-1 (June 19, 2024)
SpaceX Wandenberg is emphasizing to increase its launch rhythm from the Space Force Base, which allows such an example to be possible. Right now, SpaceX is allowed to launch 70 times from the West Coast, according to the US Air Force.
In a post on its X account on Monday, Kiko Novchev, vice -president of launch for SpaceX, said the company was “a tropical system away from killing 17 (launch) in all three of its current launch pad.”
“Special West Coast Shouts special for the team for their first 8 launch/month,” Dontchev said. “This is also the first time since October 2019 that Wandy launched 50% or more manifests.”
Congratulations to the whole @Spacex Team for another 16 Falcon launch/month. We were a tropical system from killing 17 in September, but we will have a recovery effect on landfall on any day!
Shout special to the entire West Coast team for your first 8 launch/month.

Spacex is looking at 100 launch from West Coast through a combination of both SLC-4E and SLC-6, assuming that the US Air Force has allowed. The latter pads will be designed to allow five Falcon heavy launch per year.
Beyond Starlink Missions, SpaceX also has some notable customer flights to 2025. They include the November launch of both Transporter -15 ride stock and Sentinel -6B Spacecraft, of which the latter is a NASASASAT (European organization for NAMATSATS), a NASA -Left mission, and administration), CNES (Center National D’ATDUDES SAISSSES).
SpaceX is also preparing to launch the next batch of satellites for the Space Development Agency. Not before October 14. The SDA is aiming for almost a monthly rhythm for this constellation, so two more can be launched on the tap before the end of the year.
