88 -year -old Pontiff has been in a hospital since February 14, when he was admitted to respiratory issues which were later found bilateral pneumonia.
Doctors are keeping the pregnancy of the Pope wrapped as they continue to evaluate its condition.

On Thursday, the Pope filed a message, thanking those who were praying for their recovery. Sources in the Vatican stated that the recording “clearly was an attempt to him,” stating that the noise from the Pope’s oxygen machine could be heard in the audio.

Vatican sources told Fox News, “We could hear yesterday that he was receiving oxygen through the nose during the audio, clearly he would not read Angelus.”

Ash also looked different this year on Wednesday, as the Pope was unable to lead the mass. Instead, the Cardinal Angelo de Dontis read the Pope’s homeley loudly at Santa Sabrina Basilica of Rome.

The Pope has a long history of respiratory issues. When he was just 21 years old, Pope Francis removed his lung part after developing Puurirsi, which is inflammation of the lungs cushion membrane. Now, according to Vatican sources, he is continuing therapy for bilateral pneumonia.

Catholics from all over the world have prayed for Pope Francis as he was first hospitalized in February. This includes Vice President JD Wance, who offered prayers to the Pope during the last month’s national prayer breakfast.
“Every day I and my children have made a prayer for the holy father, and we pray for their health, and we pray for their comfort because he behaves with a very serious health crisis,” Vance said.
