Tariq is an eagle scout (yes, he earned a space exploration merit badge), a space camp veteran (4 times as a child, once as an adult), and riding the last “vomiting comet” while reporting on the zero-gurutvashan fire. Before joining Space.com, he covered the city and education beats as a staff reporter for the Los Angeles Times. He has a journalism degree from Southern California University and New York University.
