Thousands of people were forced to vacate a huge neighborhood of Hong Kong overnight, while experts sweated through the delicate work of releasing a bomb of about 5-foot, 1,000 pounds from the Second World War.
The US-made bomb was found at a construction site in Quarry Bay, west side of Hong Kong on Friday, and is not the first bomb from the war found on the island.

In 2018, experts defined another WWII bomb found at a construction site in Hong Kong’s trade district. Its weight was also 1,000 pounds and a third bomb was dug from January of that year.
