Two police officers and five personnel in Pahang have been suspended from duty after being charged in court in a drug abuse case.
Quantification: Two police officers and five personnel arrested on suspicion of drug abuse in Mentakab, Temerloh, have been suspended from duty.
Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahya Othman said the suspension was pending the outcome of his court case.
The men, aged between 20 and 40, were charged in court last week.
He was detained during a raid at 2.15 am on January 3.
Preliminary urine screening tests found one officer and five personnel positive for drugs.
Yahya urged all parties to stop speculating as action has been taken against those believed to be involved.
The case is being investigated under Sections 12(3) and 15(1)(A) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
