On 12th June 2026, Uranus exactly squares the nodal axis.
While this aspect may be easily overlooked in an already eventful June – with Venus conjunct Jupiter, and both Chiron and Jupiter changing signs – it may actually be the big elephant in the room.
When a planet is square to the nodal axis – meaning it is simultaneously square to the North Node and the South Node – astrologers call it “skipped step“.

Skipped steps are usually understood as unresolved developmental material from the past that needs to be addressed before a person can fully move forward.
“Unresolved” here doesn’t mean feeling stuck. Instead, it points to a dynamic where the conflict of nodal opposition is resolved through an outlet (the square of the planet).
Like the T-square, we can see the planet that squares the nodes External catalyst that resolves opposition tensions.
Opposition and square, while both classified as “hard aspects”, have very different functions.
One Oppose There is one”number 2” Aspect – It divides the circle into 2: either, or. It is internal, A constant pendulum between options. The tension is never resolved because the tension itself creates oppositions: “either, or” – “this or that.”
Social classInstead, there is a “number four“Aspect – it divides the circle by 4, and 4 is the number of substance. That’s why squares make things happen. They bring matters into the physical world.
So in a T-square, or skipped-step type of dynamic, the planet that squares the opposition axis acts as the catalyst that makes things happen (like in the real, 3D world). It’s like a fuse that suddenly goes off – and the tension of opposition finally goes away.
And this reframe of class invites a slightly different way of thinking about the skipped step.
Maybe we’re taking the metaphor of the skipped step too seriously – but no Literally Sufficient.
And perhaps the easiest way to understand a skipped step is actual skipped step.
When you skip a step and stumble upon something, the script is interrupted.
A step skipped is not like you have lost something. But in fact, as it happens when something happens on the outside – the square – that solves the problem of opposition.
The Skipping Step and Snow White

We could go on and on about the rich symbolism of this fairy tale – from the mother-daughter dynamic and the less-discussed jealousy that can coexist with love, yet poison the next generation with the regret of its unfulfilled potential.
If we look at it through the lens of the lunar nodes, the poisoned apple becomes the generational legacy (if we choose to view the nodes this way that it can include material from past lives) into which one is born.
We all have a North Node and a South Node – This is one aspect, a protestThat regardless of the rest of the birth chart, everyone is born with it.
We are all born with some type of story, legacy, or unprocessed material (South Node) that exists in polarity with our North Node – symbolizing future directions and possibilities.
There are constant conversations about the past and future, but nothing happens until a planet comes to activate this axis.
Uranus Square the Lunar Nodes – The Skipped Step
When Uranus squares the Nodes, some Desire Happen.
This may come in the form of an accident, an unexpected circumstance, a coincidence, or an unexpected development that somehow changes the course of the story.
In Snow White, One of the prince’s servants misses a step while carrying Snow White’s coffin.
–> Due to the shock, a piece of poisoned apple got stuck in Snow White’s throat. get expelled. The poison leaves her body, she comes back to life, and the spell is broken.
It wasn’t something that Snow White, the prince, or anyone else in the story “did.” This was not a reward for any kind of hard work.
it was an accident. A skipped step. Script interruption. The servant really missed a step. And the problem of nodal axis was solved.
The skipped step is not the problem. This is the solution.
The Uranus square Nodes is the catalyst that disrupts the looping narrative – and in doing so, frees it.
With Uranus in square to the nodal axis, nothing “causes” awakening in a linear sense. Instead, there has been a sudden disruption of the existing situation. An unexpected event. A break in the pattern.
If we look at our lives, we will find that many of the life-changing moments were not planned or planned for. They happened by chance – or later it felt so, due to the mysterious pull of fate.
And although this transition may not require us to do ‘more’, it does require Recognition.
What appears at first as an obstacle may actually be the thing that resolves the tension that could not be resolved otherwise.
Sometimes the solution to “either-or” is not to take another step. Sometimes the solution is to skip a step.
