Country megastar Jelly Roll shares a gospel message on Netflix’s popular star search The competition series features a contestant speaking openly about his struggle with addiction, telling him that “Jesus is for everyone,” prompting a roar of cheers from the audience.

After his performance, Bailey spoke about drug addiction, saying, “I’ve lost everything because of drug addiction, and I’m not perfect, but I serve a God, and he believes in salvation,” adding, “Jesus has given me salvation.”
Jelly Roll responded by suggesting that the moment was orchestrated by God, revealing through tears, “I prayed this morning. I said, ‘Lord, give me a chance to talk about you.’ I said, ‘Lord, the first night was great, but I haven’t yet lived up to my purpose – You called me here to talk about You.’

“And what I just saw was a room full of people that may have never realized before, but it’s called the Holy Spirit of God,” the “Save Me” singer continued, while the audience was cheering after each pause.
“And let me tell you something about God’s Holy Spirit: He doesn’t care about your past. He doesn’t care what you’ve been through. He doesn’t care about your drug addiction. He’s your Father,” Jelly Roll said.
“He hung up so you could stand here and sing his name on the world’s biggest streaming service! On Netflix!” As the crowd went wild, Jelly Roll shouted, “It’s God, brother, it’s a God moment to show what God’s done. He’s a savior. He’s for everybody.”
The “Son of a Sinner” singer declared, “Jesus is for everybody. He doesn’t hate nobody. He loves everybody, and that’s what he stands for.”
He said, “You took my song and made it your song.” “Literally, you took our song and you gave it to God. I know Brandon Lake is crying somewhere right now.”
Bailey then revealed that she had actually decided to submit the song before knowing that Jelly Roll would be one of the judges, a revelation that left the “Need a Favor” singer momentarily speechless.
In form of star search As the contestant finished speaking, Jelly Roll struggled to respond, before finally saying, “I don’t know, you’ll have to start with Chrissy,” hinting that he wanted a fellow judge to vote first so he could take some time to compose himself.
Teigen ultimately gave Bailey four stars, while Gellar and Jelly Roll gave them five stars each — the highest rating a contestant on the Netflix 2026 reboot of the series can receive from the judges.
Jelly Roll said, “We should only give fives to people who we think can really win the show.” “And you, my friend, can win this show.”
