A US Navy MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the USS George HW Bush aircraft carrier made an emergency water landing in the Arabian Sea early Wednesday, leaving one crew member missing.
According to the US 5th Fleet, the incident occurred at approximately 3:30 pm ET.
Officials said three of the helicopter’s four crew members were successfully recovered and are currently in stable condition at the George HW Bush.

Chaos in the Strait of Hormuz has become the ‘new normal’ as Tehran shifts 4m barrels, a shipping giant has warned.
US Navy assets in the area are actively conducting search and rescue operations for the remaining crew member, who has not yet been publicly identified.
Military officials said there was no indication that the emergency landing was the result of “hostile action.”

At present the reasons for the incident are being investigated.
