President Donald Trump’s eldest son married his fiancée on Thursday in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the couple is expected to celebrate in the Bahamas over the weekend.
The wedding of Donald Trump Jr. and socialite Bettina Anderson was made official in West Palm Beach, NBC News reported Friday.
The outlet said his bride is from a prominent family in the area and her father is banker and philanthropist Harry Loy Anderson Jr.
TMZ reported that the couple’s wedding ceremony would take place on a private island in the Bahamas, adding, “The ceremony was officiated by Brad McPherson… a longtime real estate attorney who has worked closely with the Trump family for years. It was a legal formality the couple needed to handle before their actual ceremony outside the U.S.”
According to Breitbart News, President Donald Trump announced his son’s engagement to Anderson during the White House Christmas party in December.
Meanwhile, insiders told People The outlet reported Saturday that the couple wanted a ceremony in the Bahamas to keep the gathering more intimate and to ensure it would take place before America’s 250th birthday celebration, among other concerns.
A source explained, “July 4th is America, and early autumn is not a good time to plan a wedding in South Florida or on the islands due to questionable bad weather, so they decided to do it now at a place they both love.”
Anderson recently held a bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago in April. So, an insider said, she didn’t want to get married again at that venue on such short notice.
According to the NBC article, “Trump Jr. runs the Trump Organization with his brother, Eric Trump, and has been attending political events with his father. Anderson is a committee member at the Project Paradise Film Fund, which focuses on protecting Florida’s environment.”
