Google Notebooklm is getting some additional features to present new ways to interact with Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform. The most notable feature is Mind Maps, which creates a flow chart of concepts discussed in the material source and allows users to imagine connections between different concepts. Mountain view-based tech giants are also allowing users to change the output language of AI Chatbot, so that users can see reactions in their favorite language. Recently, the company bundled the premium version of the platform with Google One AI premium subscription.
Google Notebooklm gets Mind Maps
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Notebook’s editorial director and Google Labs, Steven Johnson announced the rollout of the new Mind Maps feature for all users. Earlier this month, Tech giants rolled out only for the field account holders. Johnson highlighted that it takes about 20 seconds to make a mind map.

Gadgets 360 staff members were also able to use the facility. When users pairs one or more sources in a sheet in the notebooklam, they will see the option to make Mind Maps under the page of the page (available in the right margin). At the bottom, a purple colored map icon now appears, tapping that makes the brain maps of selected sources.
Once a mind map is generated, a full-screen pop-up interface opens, which reflects the flow chart of concepts in sources. It is a branch-style map where each concept is associated with other relevant concepts and similar concepts are clubbing simultaneously. Mind map can be zoomed inside and out.
Tapping on a concept in the mind map automatically reduces the pop-up window and sends AI chatbott a querry, asking it to expand. To get more information, users can read the response shared by AI. All reactions come directly from the source with quotes.
In addition, the notebooklam is also adding an output language selector. It can be accessed from the Settings menu located on the top right. This feature allows users to choose output language for the text generated within the platform.
Once selected, the study guide, briefing documents, and chat reactions will be generated in that language, even if sources and signs are in another language. In particular, the AI overview currently supports only the English language and will not be available in selected language.
While the Mind Maps feature is currently widely available, the output language selector is currently available only to the Google Western Users, who have accessed the platforms through the enterprise users paid with Google One AI premium membership.
