NBC News quoted FBI Director Kash Patel as saying that agents were on the scene, “responding to an apparent vehicle collision and active shooter situation outside the Temple Israel Synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan.”
Farmington Hills Police and West Bloomfield Police indicated that the synagogue building was also on fire.
“There are no confirmed injuries at this time, other than possibly the shooter,” Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.
A shelter-in-place order has been issued for everyone within one mile of Temple Israel. Bouchard said no one is in custody yet and explained that’s one reason for the shelter-in-place order.
