India and Pakistan have intensified their enmity on the Kashmir region contesting the hot elections in the Kashmir region after the massacre of 26 Indian tourists, which New Delhi connected to Pakistan.
Pakistan denied that it was behind the attack on Tuesday by gunmen on a group of tourists in Kashmir. Both sides have since increased tension against each other by exchange of diplomatic and trade restrictions against each other and by increasing the fears of a military conflict.
India has vowed to hunt terrorists ‘Earth’s end’.
There are five reasons here why there is a flare between India and Pakistan:
Kashmir attack may lead to armed conflict between 2 neighbors
Under intense domestic pressure, India has indicated the possibility of a limited military strike on Pakistan that it is called “Terror Attack” with “Cross-Beder Link”. Pakistan has made it clear that it would respond to an attack military.
It is afraid that growth from any one side can cause a broad war. The last time both nations came in 2019, when a suicide car bombing killed 40 Indian soldiers in Kashmir.
In 2021, the sides renewed a ceasefire agreement with their limits, which has been largely held. The relative calm was broken on Thursday after brief exchange of the fire between his forces.
Kashmir is a nuclear flashpoint among the archival
Both India and Pakistan are equipped with nuclear weapons. There is a possibility that any traditional war or clash between them may potentially turn into nuclear exchange.
India and Pakistan fought two major wars in 1965 and 1971, but in 1974, India conducted their first nuclear tests, taking bets in any military conflict. It triggered an atomic race and Pakistan reached the same milestone in 1998.

Since then, there has been a large border clash in India and Pakistan in 1999 with at least 1,000 fighters killed. The fight stopped only after America’s intervention.
A struggle can bring to China
India and China are geopolitical rivals, whose forces collided with the disputed Himalayan border in 2020. Relations between Asian giants have improved, but they still retain a large number of soldiers on their borders. Their borders are also embodied to Pakistan, making it the only three-way nuclear junction in the world.
Beijing also controls a part of the Kashmir region that New Delhi says it belongs to India.
On the other hand, China is also a main ally of Pakistan and has helped to pursue its missile programs, creating additional military concerns for New Delhi. Meanwhile, India has a strong defense relationship with the United States, seeking to limit the rise of Beijing in the Indo-Pacific sector for a long time.
Experts say that no struggle between India and Pakistan is likely to be strict, as their strategic partners are likely to be involved.
Kashmir stress can lead to war on water
In response to the massacre, India suspended an important treaty that controls the flow of river water in Pakistan. Pakistan said that it would consider any attempt to stop the flow of water from India from “war work”.
Under the Indus Water Treaty, India is bound to flow six rivers independently into Pakistan. If India follows the flow and restricts the flow, it can have a devastating effect on Pakistan’s agriculture as it fights with water scarcity.
It is also a major environmental issue. Insecurity of water is a major concern in both India and Pakistan due to rapid growing population and climate change.
