Marc Marquez dominated the Hungarian MotoGP sprint race from pole to take a stunning victory over Acosta and Bezzecchi.
mark Marquez delivered an impressive performance to win the sprint race at the Hungarian MotoGP on Saturday, turning his pole position into a spectacular victory at the Balaton Park circuit.
The Spaniard, riding for Ducati, had earlier secured pole despite a dramatic qualifying session in which he crashed on his opening lap. However, he quickly reached the top and carried that speed into the sprint.
Marquez was in complete control from the beginning and never looked in danger. He steadily pulled away from the field and at one point had a lead of more than two seconds over his nearest rival.
KTM’s Pedro Acosta finished second after trying to stay in touch in the early laps, while Italy’s Marco Bezzecchi, who leads the world championship standings, completed the podium in third for Aprilia.
The victory marked a significant return to form for the seven-time MotoGP world champion, who had not won a race – sprint or grand prix – since the Misano GP last season.
Marquez’s impressive performance at the 4.08km Balaton Park circuit sends a strong signal as the MotoGP season continues, with the defending champion looking firmly in control ahead of Sunday’s main race.
