On CNN’s “New Central” Thursday, Representative Seth Moulton (D-MA) disowned scandal-plagued Maine U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner as Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) rubber-stamps President Donald Trump’s agenda.
Host Kate Bolduan said, “You’re running for the Senate. As I mentioned, another Democrat running for the Senate, Graham Platner, is running in Maine. He’s faced controversy over some things on his tattoos. You defended him on that, I noticed. He’s also facing controversy over his exchanging sexually explicit text messages with multiple women, which his wife flagged for the campaign on her own. When he When he was in Washington, meeting with Democratic senators, he seemed to want to address concerns about his candidacy, asking him, “What if there’s more? Do you think that would be too much for Graham Platner?”
Moulton said, “I mean, we don’t know. We just don’t know what else could come out. But I do know this, that he’s fighting against a senator who stamps out Trump’s agenda every day, a senator who like 98% of the Republican Party supports this war in Iran that is raising everybody’s gas prices. It’s killing Americans. It’s killing innocent people in the Middle East. It’s our It’s hurting our allies. When it comes to trying to stop and prevent a war with China, all of these things that Susan Collins does are getting worse every day and I think the voters in Maine are the only ones who can consider those two options.
