One person is dead and details remain scant after a shooting at U.S. Immigration and Customs Agents (ICE) in Biddeford, Maine on Monday morning.
The Portland Press Herald reported that the incident “occurred at the corner of Poole and Hill streets.” He noted that the Biddeford Police Department acknowledged that ICE agents were involved, but made it clear the department would not provide any more information beyond that.
WMTW described the incident as a “fatal shooting involving ICE.”
Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau (D) said, “State Police and the Department of Public Safety are now on the scene gathering details and expect the FBI to also investigate.”
A woman living close to the scene said she was woken up by the sound of a “very loud bang” around 8:00 am. She said she looked out her window and saw “a lot of police.”
