President Trump has claimed minimal damage to refueling aircraft following reported Iranian strikes, contrary to earlier media assessments.
chairman Donald Trump said Saturday that four of the five tanker planes targeted in an attack on a base in Saudi Arabia suffered “almost no damage.”
“Four of the five suffered virtually no damage, and are already back in service. One had a little more damage, but will be back on the air soon,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
Trump criticized reports from US media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, which reported Friday that Iranian strikes damaged five US Air Force planes refueling on the ground at Prince Sultan Airport in Saudi Arabia. The Journal said there were no injuries and the planes were being repaired.
