A judge of Los Angeles has reduced the sentences of Eric and Lile Menandage, making them eligible for parole after a 35 -year prison for killing his parents.
In the 1990s, in the true crime case catching the US, the Menandage brothers were convicted of killing their father, Jose and his mother, Kitty, a former beauty queen with a brutality. Roy Rosello, a former member of Menudo, the 1980s boy band who became a global sensation, is coming forward with an allegation that he was sexually harassed by Jose Menandez as a teenager.

In a livestream video before the hearing, Lile Menandage said he “no excuse” to kill his parents.
“I killed my mother and father. I do not make any excuse and no justification,” Lile said. “My family’s influence on my family … is unfathomable.”
Eric apologized to his family. He said, “Whatever you did was not, but you inspire me to do better.”
The judge said that he consider it on a large scale whether to reduce the sentences or not and eventually he was “credited a lot to change his life.” He was “specifically transferred by a letter presented by a jail officer who wrote in support of displeasure, something that he had never done to any disorganized person in 25 years,” according to AP.
