South Korean Memory Chipmaker SK Hinix It was said on Friday that it was ready to produce its next generation high-bandwidth memory chips on a large scale to stay ahead of rivals and increase the company’s stock.
HBM is a type of memory used in chipset for artificial-warm-bustle computing, including chips of global AI veteran Nvidia-a major customer of SK henix.
SK HYNix said earlier this year that it had sent samples of their HBM4 chips to customers, as it had demanded defeating contestants including Samsung Electronics and Micron Technologies.
According to its announcement on Friday, the company has ended its internal verification and quality assurance process for HBM4 and is ready to build them.
Johwan Cho, head of HBM Development in SK Hinix, said, “The completion of HBM4 development will be a new milestone for the industry.”
HBM4 is the sixth generation of HBM technology – a type of dynamic random access memory, or drama. DRAM can be found in individual computers, workstations and servers and is used to store data and program codes.
The latest HBM4 product of SK HYNix has doubled bandwidth compared to the previous generation, according to the company, and power efficiency has increased by 40%.
In particular, HBM4 is expected to be the main AI memory chip required for Nvidia’s next generation of rubin architecture-a more powerful AI chip-dan nisted for the feature data centers, the vice-president of the triaoriant, the Asia-based private investment firm, who focus on the semiconductor.
“SK HYNix is a major supplier for Nvidia, and the declaration suggests that it is far ahead of rivals,” he said.
Samsung Electronics and Micron have struggled to capture SK henix in HBM, as it makes its segment on leadership and benefits from being NVDia’s main HBM supplier.
Micron has also sent samples of its HBM4 products to customers, while Samsung has allegedly worked to achieve its HBM4 chips certified by NVIDIA. However, analysts hopes that SK HYNix will continue to dominate next year.
The shares of this company increased by more than 7% since 2000, after its chip declaration since 2000, the benefit of year-on-year-to-90% was increased to about 90%. The shares of Samsung Electronics and Micron have exceeded 40% in 2025 and about 80% respectively.
SK HYNIX posted record operating benefits and revenue for its June-coordor, thanks to the strong HBM demand, with 77% of its overall revenue.
The company hopes that HBM sales will double for the whole year as compared to 2024, and the demand from AI continues to grow in 2026.
