A US official told Fox News that the Ukrainian delegation was also in Abu Dhabi and in contact with Driscoll and his team.
There was a diplomatic stir over the weekend after Axios leaked a 28-point peace plan that many European leaders and US lawmakers saw as largely favorable to Russia.
Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., said initial on x US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff’s proposal was “a surrender document for Ukraine that would have left it at the mercy of Russia for decades to come.”
He said the latest version, developed with the participation of Secretary of State Marco Rubio and input from Ukrainian and European officials, was a better plan.
“We must stand firm [the] The cause of liberty and the rule of law,” Bacon wrote.

Ukraine’s decision to agree to the deal came hours after Russia launched an overnight attack on Kiev that killed at least six people and injured 13.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustam Umerov cited the talks in Geneva when addressing his country’s agreement on key parts of the peace plan.
“We appreciate the fruitful and constructive meetings held in Geneva between the Ukrainian and American delegations, as well as President Trump’s determined efforts to end the war,” Umerov wrote on Twitter.
Umerov said his country looks forward to Zelensky’s visit to the United States at the earliest appropriate date “to complete the final steps and reach an agreement with President Trump.”
