President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has suggested that he is ready to step down from the post after Russia’s war at the end of Ukraine.
During an interview with Exios on Wednesday, the Ukrainian leader also maintained his primary attention, which attains peace rather than achieving another term.
“My goal is to end the war,” Zelancesi told Barak Ravid on the Xi Show that after his address of the United Nations General Assembly in New York and before going back to Kiev.
When Ukraine held an election during a ceasefire, Zelancesi was firm.

“So are you committed that if tomorrow, President Putin agrees for three months, six months ceasefire, will you move forward to move for elections in Ukraine?” Ravid asked. “Yes,” Zelansky replied.
Asked if he had imagined Ukraine, a leading Ukraine in peacock, Zelancesi suggested to step down again after winning the war.
“If we finish the war with Russia? Yes,” Zelansky said, before clarifying that the elections were not his personal ambitions.
“This is not my goal, election,” he explained. He said, “I want it in a very difficult time, to live with my country, help my country. Yes, I wanted me. My goal is to end the war,” he said.

The Ukrainian leader’s comment comes as his country is subject to martial law, the entire scale invasion of Russia was launched since began in February 2022.
Under martial law, elections cannot be held.

Zelanski, who was elected to a landslide for the first time in 2019, would have ended his five -year term in May 2024 if the war with Russia did not begin.
Now Zelancesi has been in the office for more than six years, which is beyond his original mandate.
